My mom sent me an email about Borgata and events coming up. And at the bottom was the Spring Poker Open! Yes, it's true! April 10-30. I went over to twoplustwo to see the chatter from Stan and Tab and it looks like nothing is set in stone just yet, but a few ideas were posted there. Hopefully soon it will be released. I was just feeling down in the dumps and this really brightened my day (even with all the rain outside!)
I guess Borgata found success with their Poker Opens. They normally did 3. One in January (upstairs) one in June (poker room) and one in September (upstairs). WPT used to back the one in January and Sept, but now, they only back the one in Sept (main event-televised). I guess they were making some good $$ off of it and added a fourth one in April. Can't wait to see how it goes! |

It will be in the poker room, not the Salon. I hope they mix in an Omaha. I no longer limit my tourney play to O8 limit, but also PLO and PLO 8/b.

Just checked 2+2 and Borgata site. Nothing yet. I like the non NLH events. Was bubble boy for O/8 winter event. Hope to do much better this time around

| So let me get this straight, for the 500+60 event on april 10. It's a two-day event. Is saturday day one, sunday another day one, and day two is on monday? so if you play on saturday and win - you don't play again til monday? |

| i can't believe there isn't a 500+60 2-day that falls on saturday+sunday, which would make perfect sense for ppl can only play during the weekend. |

Yeah I guess they didn't want to have to give out rooms at the tourney rate on Fri/Sat nights.
I wish the Omaha 8/b started like around noon. I can't commit to a 2 day event.. ya know, kids, work... |

| They have a Blog for the entire Spring Open.http://borgatapoker.blogspot.com/ I was down there and played in one event. Lost a 100K pot with blinds at 1200 on level 12 on a post flop all-in suckout grrrrrr. Very cruel, but thats poker. |
